That happened to me also. Spring break for college kids and I am just back also. I am in uniform with all my ribbons on and really tired. Some college kids in the back called be baby killer and I said "your right I am baby killer and the next person who calls me that I will kill you." The bus was completely quite and I slept the rest of the way to Boston. At least when you went to Frisco the Hippies just wanted to sleep with you so you would miss your flight to the Nam.

Me and a couple of buddies sneaked away from Oakland the night before we left for Vietnam. We went to San Francisco. We were wayyy out of our element. I saw more weirdos than I can count. We decided to go have a drink before we left, so we found the first night club we came came to. It was so dark you couldn't see your hand in your face. Three girls came over and walked us to some seats. We ordered beer for all of us. When our eyes finally adjusted, and we could see good, we were in a drag queen club. We got the hell out of there so fast and we're laughing our butts off. I stopped at a set of pay phones to call home. I could hear the guy in the next phone booth. He was talking to someone about sex. I talked to my parents and hung up in time to hear him tell, whoever he was talking to, that he was in his robe and didn't have any underwater on. I began laughing my butt off and told my friends we're going back to Oakland where it's safe. LOL
