Plane makes 'terrifying' emergency landing at Honolulu's airport

Holy cow! I don't care if it's an important part or not. It show a level (or lack of) that might be important to the rest of the plane!

Didn't Hawaiian Airlines have fatigue failure on a 737 about 25 years ago? I can't remember if someone was hurt or sucked out of the plane? Yes, this could have been catastrophic failure had more than just this come falling off especially at altitude!

I wonder if some mechanic forgot to secure it all the way after an inspection or small repair.
