I have definitely called Female Officer Sir, but in my defense my eyesight isn't as good as it was at 17. It didn't help that they had very short hair and appeared to have a large Adams apple as well as a vice deeper than mine. :)

Remind me of USMC boot camp where recruits would have a male and female DI yelling at them, and they had to go back and forth screaming "YES, SIR" "YES MA'AM" and god forbid they get mixed up and say "Yes, sir" to the ma'am!

Lol. Yep I made that mistake once. We were in classes given by several female Marine's all day and we we went back to the barracks made that mistake. Resulting in me doing lots of push ups.
