Having gone to High School in Hattiesburg I've been following this story. Much more to this than just police over reach. I think Christopher Few's (father of Jeremy) fiance, Megan Dixon, was getting hit on/or was involved with one of the officers that was charged with murder in the incident - Norris Greenhouse. She was getting text messages, Facebook messages and as well Greenhouse was coming over to the house. This looks more like a bizarre love triangle gone bad with one of the bad being a LEO and unfortunately for Jeremy getting caught up in the mess. His father was in the hospital and I think his birth mom was in jail at the time of his burial - truly sad.

The good news is both LEO involved in the case were charged primarily due to body cam footage.

Yeah, I know background of it. I appreciate you sharing it with us. I knew they were and would be charged for several reasons.

I can't believe that NOBODY tried to save this baby.

SSG Trust Palmer Very sad... The officers should have done all that is possible to help the child survive this terrible/potentially criminal incident. He was an innocent victim of his father's stupidity and the apparent carelessness of the police.

While I certainly do not condone the actions of the police (from what I have seen), people should not overlook the proximate cause of tragedy... failure to obey the lawful orders of the police.

I trust that a complete, unbiased investigation will take place and justice will be served.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Their perception may vary, but the facts don't bear out what the media and, apparently, you continue to whine about. I have studied this issue quite a bit and have seen a great many examples of "police investigations" into police shootings, etc. While I realize that some may be tainted, the very great majority are completely above board. Just because somebody does not like the outcome of something, it does not mean it was corrupt or conducted in a biased manner. In addition, most police shootings are not investigated by the police, but by the DA or equivalent in the proper jurisdiction.

Regardless, the fact remains that people who fail to follow the lawful orders of the police are not victims of anything but their own stupidity. It is a shame that a child was killed because of the criminal behavior/stupidity of his father(??) and, possibly, the police.
