This would be an awesome tool for DOCs across the US. Way too many people, including vets, are getting out of prison with absolutely no clue as to how far the world has come in terms of information sharing, knowledge acquisition, employment and even basics like on-line grocery shopping. The speed with which things change, even in the space of weeks (think app upgrades) can be astonishing for us. Imagine how overwhelming it would be if the last time you had a cell phone, it was JUST a phone. Thanks for the share.

I remember feeling overwhelmed after upgrading from a Nokia mini-brick to a flip phone with e-mail, custom ringtones, internet, and different games.

SGT (Join to see) These things are so cool. We see them all the time over here in Thailand. People use them to recharge their pre-paid phones, recharge their pre-paid Visa, and check their e-mail. The electric company and the water company have also set it up that you can pay your utility bills with them as well. Some of them are even set up to give directions. Like I said, an awesome piece of kit.

That is pretty cool. Couldn't do that in America. We'd find a way to destroy it in no time.

SGT (Join to see) No doubt. I think it is because so many people rely on them here that they are a protected species. I have seen places where the area around the machine is totally trashed, but the machine is untouched by graffiti and such.

SGT (Join to see) - I am going to the 'Big City" of Chaing Mai next week to visit the US consulate, and I will see if I can get a photo of one.
