Tracking incoming threats is not a great challenge - engaging a stream raid requires much more than a fire-control solution.

Yes, the Russians are aware that they would lose billions in foreign military sales have they attempted to shoot down our missiles. God help us and we have the F-35 by itself. Reading stories about Japan Desiring to have an F-22 F-35 hybrid made under license. Maybe we should invest in that since the F-22 production is finished. I remember reading a book years ago called what we need about extravagance in military procurement and I remember reading that Air Force was being forced to take more F-22 than what they had asked for? That book discussed having more Logistics Aviation and ships built not gee-whiz F-35 junk jet or junk Strike Fighters because they won't be able to fight back if jumped by other planes from the enemy in visual flight rules situation.
