Fox News further quotes Our Great Leader (President Trump) as saying "He's now president for life. President for life. And he's great. I think it's great. Maybe we'll give that a shot someday." - President Donald Trump, referring to China's President Xi Jinpin - who killed China's term limits.

It wasn't that long ago that conspiracy folks were telling us that Obama had a plan to declare martial law and make himself president forever......it was going to start with invading Texas......remember all of that nonsense? I think this is just Trump saying something stupid, so he can grab the headlines for the day and change the subject from all the other things going on around him. If we were going to have a president for life, it sure wouldn't be Trump......I'm not sure he's even going to make it to the end of his first term.

Alexander Hamilton (my absolute least favorite founding father) argued for such a Presidency. I think Aaron Burr did us all a favor the day he dueled Hamilton. He killed Hamilton and destroyed his own political possibilities with one shot, thus ending two threats to the Republic.
