I was stationed at Cam Ranh Bay, Viet Nam when President Johnson visited there again in 1968 although i was on a post where I couldn't actually see Him. President Johnson also had a son in law that was an A1C (E3) in the USAF who was also stationed at Cam Ranh Bay.

Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski that on December 20, 1967 President Lyndon B. Johnson attended a memorial service for Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt in Melbourne and then visited Vietnam, Thailand, and the Vatican.
LBJ visited U.S. combat troops in Cam Ranh, South Vietnam, and told them that the enemy “knows that he has met his master in the field.”
