As a Vietnam Veteran who has presumptive Parkinson’s Disease I know for a fact that I never ingested or ever wanted to ingest anything that had been sprayed by Agent Orange, even thought I lived in the stuff for the13 months I was in Vietnam. I lived in the stuff because I was a Combat Engineer Platoon Leader, and Company Commander supporting Combat Units in the very northern part of I Corps. This area of Vietnam was the most heavily defoliated area in Vietnam because it was just south of the DMZ. I suspect that most of use ended up with some form of neurological damage and the cancers associated with Agent Orange exposure. Agent Orange was the gift that never stopped giving.

New research shows Parkinson's disease origins in the gut
In experiments in mice, Johns Hopkins Medicine researchers say they have found additional evidence that Parkinson's disease originates among cells in the gut and travels up the body's neurons to the brain. The study, described in the June issue of the journal Neuron, offers a new, more accurate model in which to test treatments that could prevent or halt Parkinson's disease progression.
