Never heard of Private McGillicuddy, he's a new one.

Never knew there was a McGillicuddy although I've heard it before. Some of the generic names for young fictional Marines when I was in included LCpl Benotz, PVT Smuckatelli (abbr. Smuck), LCpl Bagodoughnuts. Used in colorful commentary to refer to the average Joe.
