Prop. 13 reform headed to California ballot could swamp counties

Why am I laughing? Well, we sold our apartment building earlier this year. It appears just in time. If your thinking of moving to California, don't. There will be a new surge in the flood of those escaping the state. And business? I can't imagine any staying if they haven't already yet fled. Prop 13, for those not aware of it, was passed by the people, especially the elderly, to prevent being taxed out of their homes. The state was expanding taxes yearly to pay for unsustainable investments and schools that rank among the worst in the nation regardless of how much money they throw at them. The government responded by continuing their spendthrift ways while punishing the people by reducing essential services.
