Which leads to a few different questions. Are our intelligence services politically biased or incompetent? Or are there only a few players in those services that have their own agenda? How complicit are Democrats? How complicit is the media? Are they complicit or gullible?

Mcafee is implying US gov, so at the time of the story it would be liberal democrats.

Sorry, I edited my post, so your response looks a little disjointed. That's on me.

Both- also they think the American people are stupid. They hope that there are still plenty of blind sheeple running around that won't ask any questions and just take what they say as gospel.

yep that is the source of the story, I did find it other places but it was the best version of McAfee's statements on the subject

I have always had issue with the idea that the information hacked was done by a nation state or even more so an intelligence agency. Yes, the problems Mr McAfee listed are all valid, but they are small when looking at the bigger picture, in my opinion. Every time you step back and take a better look at this debacle, it becomes more apparent that it was not the Russians. That is not to say that the Russians, and everyone else for that matter, were not attempting to hack these sites...as they learned from our hacking of them.
