The right is cool with minorities getting long prison sentences for their crimes. They don't like it when it's not a minority. This guy only had a bullet proof vest, his off duty firearm, rucksack w/ MRE's, etc. Clearly he had only the best intentions /s

Minorites are the foot soldiers for both parties. The upper Chambers who have been in power for decades don't care. If they did then you wouldn't deport them for a minor crime when they're promised citizenship in exchange for their service as long as it's honorable.

Prosecutors rarely get the things they want and always over ask... So 17 years is not likely.

I don't know it will depend on who the judge is. Most of the J6 hearings I don't think have been actual bearings with a jury of the peers more of a plea deal between the DOJ and the defendant.
