As Russian President Vladimir Putin massed his military on Ukraine's border in late 2021, many analysts doubted Putin would actually invade.
But not Dmitri Alperovitch.
"He was seeing Ukraine slip away from his orbit. And when he saw that he could no longer control it, it was pretty clear to me that he was going to try to move in and attempt a regime change," said Alperovitch.
Americans and others who closely studied the Communist leadership of the Soviet Union used to be called "Kremlinologists." Now there's a new generation of analysts who could be called "Putinologists," those seeking to understand Russia today by deconstructing its leader and the war he's waging in Ukraine.

He didn't manipulate the Donald, Obama, or Bush for that matter. They all kept him close so they could keep an eye on him. He waited until Biden raised his hand before he crossed borders fully. Then the inept Biden said oh, its only a minor incursion...BS...it is an invasion when another country crosses the sovreign lines with intent to disrupt and take over. Biden did nothing...Trump/Obama/Bush would have thumped him and he knew it..that is why he waited till Biden took office cause he knew he could get away with and here we are.

Putin took Crimea because of the USA lead coup de ta in Ukraine. Russian forces only advanced after NATO crept it's forces closer to Russian borders. This bullshit has been going on for 10 plus years. The only reason the war actually escalated is because America is going bankrupt due to wallstreet criminals and we need to sell our weapons in a fire sale to keep the economy going. Hopefully after the war is over we will benefit by the reconstruction of Ukraine and it will reignite the economy. There is so much fraud and corruption in this story and the sad part is all roads lead to "Rome". In this case all roads lead to USA. So many things intersect and there is no one right conclusion. What is worst is the boomer generation that brainwashed into the uniparty dichotomy the continuously tries to separate us into two groups. The Government is us, we the people. Our elected representitives do not represent us us. They represent the elitist war mongoring shits that own the media that brain washes you.
