I was a mentor. Best thing I received at retirement was a plaque from three young Soliders who were in my section in Iraq. They stated they figured me out, everything I did was mentoring to made them better Soldiers.

Chief that is one of the biggest compliments a leader can get. Usually you here from them years later. You must have been a great mentor for them to recognize it so soon
