She was a "force" in her prime.......but she is long past her prime. I would hope that if the Democrats do indeed retake the House, they look to fresh leadership. Time for Nancy to go home, and make way for the next generation of leaders. BTW......the GOP has a number of people in leadership roles that should make way for fresh leaders as well. Too many "old farts" hanging onto power who are past their ability to lead effectively, in both parties.

I agree. I wish the GOP or any other party had someone as adept at leadership as her or as adept at manipulating Senate procedure as Harry Reid. Although I revile both for their ideology, I can respect them for their talents.

CPT Jack Durish - I think McConnell made Reid look like a rank amateur when he held open a SCOTUS seat for almost a year, without so much as an interview, let alone a hearing and/or a vote. He knows how to use whatever power he is holding onto at any given time......just as Reid did. Love her, or hate her, when Pelosi ran the House, there was no doubt who was in charge. And there is no doubt who is in charge of the senate right now. I personally can't stand McConnell......but he knows what he's doing.
