Don't know Linux but still value your insight.

Just because you can doesn't mean that you should; you might end up having to duplicate your posts, since not everyone who posts on RP also wants an RSS feed specifically for Linux. Besides, aren't you being just a teeny-tiny bit exclusionary? That kind of goes against the whole notion of "open source", which is the heart-stone of Linux. I can understand the geek "need for speed" (sorry) but I think you are doing a great disservice to the many others on RP who might want to take a flyer at Linux/Ubuntu/etc. and don't have time or know where to begin. Besides, we need your scintillating input :D

1) Many sites have multiple RSS feeds for different main topics. This one is my own and, as stated in the code, not affiliated with RP.
2) Many have requested a RSS feed before. From what I know, it would be easier to do from the server side by dev-ops, but they don't seem interested in doing so. I hope to find a way to automate this if possible. It's learning for me. If RP tells me they don't like the idea, I'll remove it.
3) RSS feeds keep people engaged with interests. I look to add value.
4/5/6) -_-

How about putting a proposal together that would include employment for you by RP in exchange for dealing wiith RSS feeds? As I mentioned, "humbility" has great use.

(Join to see) - assuming you mean "humility", thanks for the great idea, however, I'd need a lot more skills than being able to run a XML script to persuade RP to employ me upon graduation and they're not hiring anything similar right now. Again, great idea that could probably be used for new jobs listings.

No, I actually meant "humbility" - it was originally contraction of humble and humility and has come to mean the act of being too humble to accept that you are humble. (new word submission to Collins English Dictionary) IMO, you have the skills, you just need the savvy to sell yourself. :D
