Reaching out: How caring letters help in suicide prevention

Saw this on CBS News Sunday Morning this a.m. (19 Jan 2020), and felt it should be shared here. I have taken several packets of handwritten notes sent by high school and middle school students to patients at the Long Beach (California) VA Hospital, and marveled at the impact they've had on those lonely and long-suffered veterans. Having watched this, I am now going to encourage more people to write more such notes and distribute them as widely as possible.
