Whenever anyone claims that they a "fact checking" or "reality checking" my antennae go up. Websites like Snopes have already proven that everyone has an agenda. Everyone who has ever purported to report "the news" has suffered from a point of view. Once upon a time, most tried to suppress it and report honestly. Sadly, that isn't true today. So I greet most news with a question: "So what?" So what it an MSM journalist uncovered the information? So what if a Russian spy uncovered it? Does it really matter? What matters to me is whether or not the information is factual or at least approximately so. The release of the information caused the FBI to investigate Hillary and it was proven that she was storing and transmitting classified material on an unsecured server. She didn't return all official documents as she was supposed to do. Does it matter who first revealed it? Of course not. Now we're told that Trump's server was hacked. So what? Did they catch him breaking the law? Not that I've heard of. So what?

CNN said there are allegations out there from a source that the CIA has found to be credible in the past. They never implied that the information was true or vetted, they clearly labeled them as allegations the entire time. This wasn't fake news, it was simply a story Trump didn't want reported.

I seem to recall them reporting scurrilous claims that Obama wasn't born in the US and that he was a closet Muslim. It looks like a double standard to me, we've had almost a decade of ridiculous claims and fake controversies regarding Obama and now conservatives are getting all up in arms because CNN reports on serious allegations that are not proven.
