Upon My Discharge In 1965 I Lived In Santa Ana, BEFORE Speaking Spanish Became A Requirement.
But My Ability TO Speak Spanish Has Been A Great Bonus, I Still Use It Almost Every Day.
My Brothers And I Owned A Donut Shop On The Corner Of Standard & McFadden.,
~ "The Donut Hole"......How Unoriginal.
And ~ Brace Yourself~ Donuts Were Around A Buck Per Dozen, And Most Of THAT Was Profit.
But Even Back In 65 The Traffic Was Miserable, And The Cost Of Living High. When It Became Even More Congested,By Both Freeways And With People.... We Got The "L" Out Of There. But I Still Have A Daughter, "Jean Marie"; Living In Crestline, A Mountain Area ~ Not Far From The Big Bear
