SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - Most people on welfare or assistance work. Are there people who abuse the system? Yes. But they are in the minority actually. Some people hit hard times and have to use assistance.
My daughter qualifies for WIC because she's on the aged and disabled waiver - and I only use it to get her Nutren Jr for her feeding pump. I could get WIC checks for food but I said no. I don't really need it.
I have had family and friends have to use assistance like WIC or EBT and they weren't just mooching the system. Assistance is just that, assistance.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - I was just passin it along for others to comment Shirley. I'd be interested in hearing what they've got to say firsthand as well. When I was stationed in Europe back in 1977 to 1980 and the Cold War was still on, I loved the country of Germany and enjoyed traveling it all the time. I've been back once since wall came down in 2006 for my leave while down range in OIF 05-07. It was great then as well.

Someone is just finding out this? Wow! Talk about slow learners. This is news? Why don't we just take people at their word? The Muslim refugees have been bragging that they would take over the countries where they have taken "refuge". They have declared that Islam will dominate them. And all attempts to appease them have only encouraged them that they would succeed (just as appeasement encouraged Hitler that he would succeed). Ironic, isn't it?
