Cpl Scott McCarroll Experience and Knowledge are Quite Valuable. In GMC Ernest Borgnine's Case. He wasn't acting. Based on Personal Knowledge. He Played a LCDR Pretty Good. At the End of WWII He Got Out as a Gunners Mate First Class, Much, Much Later Ceremonially Promoted to Gunners Mate Chief.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint Sorry to say probably not good. As I said it had elements that would be considered "culturally insensitive" think Johnny Depp playing Tonto in The Lone Ranger movie. Now if they got Pacific Islanders to play the roles of the Pacific Islanders, then maybe.

I am sure that there are a boat load of Pacific Islanders that would jump to get a shot. Now coming up with a working PT Boat would be pretty hard to come up with. But yeah I would love it.

CW5 Jack Cardwell I also enjoyed the movie. It was silly and stretched Military Life beyond the breaking point, but it wasn't the point of the movie to be True to Life, it was a comedy. I am glad I am not the only one who watched old shows as a kid.
