We are somewhat fortunate that Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Synema are not behaving as far-left loonies but rather as moderates. Both know that they will probably not be re-elected if they back these insane multi-trillion dollar spending bills as well as the "voting rights" bills that would enable unqualified non-citizens and convicted criminal felons to illegally register and vote. Sorry, but requiring a photo ID and proof of citizenship is not a return to discrimination against eligible registered American voters.

Is he actually gonna leave the democrat party or just say he's a republican so that he can get re-elected?

Sgt (Join to see) Van Drew was first elected to Congress as a Democrat in 2018, but became a Republican in 2020 due to his opposition to the first impeachment of Donald Trump. ( according to Wikipedia).

Sgt (Join to see) - Gotcha. It's just hard to believe these politicians when they say they're switching sides because I believe that they're just following the prevailing political wind.

This would not be a good thing if it were to happen. The Democrat Party needs more people like him, not less

SP5 Dennis Loberger The trouble is, the Dem party has changed alot in their goals and outlook and members like VanDrew or Manchin are treated like troublemakers. Why stay in a club anymore, if they don’t like you?
