The ROE in Afghanistan gets tighter with each successive rotation. Convoys are more at risk than ever and the aviators unable to deliver missiles on target without approval from the "host" government. It's a travesty that our predecessors would never have stood for.

Sir this is more like an OPED than anything else. If we get into blaming Presidents for the deaths of servicemembers every time it's convenient, we'd have a trail of dead reaching the moon and back with a particular Presidents name on the tag. So put this on Obama. Ok. For the hell of it, let's put EVERY SINGLE SM who's died on his watch on him. Fair enough right? Put 5000+ on Bush for an ill advised invasion into Iraq. Continue to put MORE on that list from those who survived that war to come home and kill themselves. Let's ADD MORE to that, and say those who came home alive, end up going to units that were rolling out. How many more didn't make it? We did not need to be there. Now how many are we going to put on ALL of the other presidents of the past who've sent covert forces into harms way, just to see them all not come back together? Ok skip SOF units and do regular forces. How did NAM work out? Did we blame the Presidents when they were advising or when they were there in force, or after they came home broken and bloodied to a country that gave less than ZERO f*cks about them? VA was STILL screwing troops over then. All this article does is cheapen the lives of those who died. You can nit pick all day long if that is what you want to do, but Obama and EVERY President before him has blood on his hands. The President after Obama will too. What this Representative should be doing is AS A VET, working towards making the VA a better system. AS A VET, he should be concerned with stemming the tide of sequestration. AS A VET, ensuring that those still serving have the best and most up to date training and equipment available. But he's not. I'm a SEAL...look at me. Whoop de freakin do.
