Report: Malfunction caused Thunderbird crash after academy flyover

They found debris in the throttle trigger- there was an HBO movie many years back.... I also was involved in x-raying these things back in the 80s. Caused shorting in the electrical systems. Same issue maybe?

Perhaps so Maj Marty Hogan. Crazy that it happened; just 4 days after they left Cannon AFB, my previous assignment. Before this happened, I would have zero percent chance that the Thunderbirds and Blue Angles would have had a crash on the same afternoon. Mind boggling!
