The Blaze did the right thing, they can't have it both ways. Either he is a journalist and a non-combatant or a combatant who blogs and accepts the risks involved.

He would be treated as a combatant if caught. Look what they do to journalists! I would want a weapon too.

Foolish is as foolish does seems like a Forrest Gump remark which seems appropriate for Marine veteran Jason Buttrill turned journalist who tweeted a picture of him with a sniper rifle along with the the message: “Major bucket list completed. Shoot at #ISIS ? Check!” SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. As a journalist and a former service member he should have known that shooting an enemy fighters as a non-combatant reporter violates the USA law of war and the Geneva conventions to boot. Having the temerity and/or stupidity to tweet the picture and the caption confirms his guilt.

Interesting story. What has to be remembered though it had we stayed in Iraq in 2011 instead of fostering operation New Dawn of the dead, the the animation of Isis, there never would have been an embed issue that would have been Buffalo Mo School Iraq may have been unstable to a point but we wouldn't be in this Quagmire we are in now. That's what happens when you make a political campaign promise like President Obama did he will be noted for this Century as one of the biggest mistakes that cost the lives of so many people in two countries Iraq and Syria.
