I understand that we have limited space in our dockyards and upkeep for such vessels is quite the cost, but sinking our own vessels (even if they have been decommissioned) just because they've outlived their use? Seems a bit...cold-hearted (if I may put it that way). They served us faithfully throughout all these years, many have yet to let us down so far and this is how we thank them (I know, I know <sigh> it's made of metal, it does not love you back). Yes, there is a difference between sinking a decommissioned ship and putting down a service dog (I know, I'm going a bit far here), but by god, neither feels right to me, regardless. Again, I understand, we have limited space and upkeep is expensive, but to me, it always feels wrong voluntarily destroying something that has served us faithfully for decades, if not years.

Jake Lang A Hopeless Romantic, I Understand. Too bad they can't all be made into Museum Pieces. Still Turning into a Reef where Divers can still see the Ship is Better than Cutting Her Up and Making Her into Soda Cans.
