Is it Ok to have a special VIP section for a non-partisan event and then only give those tickets out on a partisan basis? Is it ok to use taxpayer dollars for what could essentially be just a large campaign rally?
Honestly, I hope I'm wrong and that there are logical explanations, or that someone can provide contradictory evidence. I've asked my unit if tickets are available to the military here ( less than 2 hours north of DC), but it doesn't appear that any are.
Also, I understand it's probably not illegal, but that doesn't make it right.

Sgt John Steinmeier Sure, just like the general public. But, why should the RNC get the only VIP tickets to a non-partisan event? Shouldn't those be distributed equitably? Or, are Independence Day celebrations.now partisan events, and not for all Americans?
