Thank you.my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for making us aware that Dr Brian May, Rock Star, Physicist, Astrophysicist, Photographer is working to revive Victorian virtual reality of Stereoscopy which was a Victorian technique for creating an illusion of depth in an image.

I've loved stereoscopy since I was a kid and viewed my grandmother's old stereoscopic slides on her viewer. I was amazed by the 3-D aspect. Later, I went out and acquired an old stereoscope at an antique store and occasionally acquire slides, especially those dealing with the 19th c. military. I admire Brian May, not so much as a rock god, but because he wasn't content to rest on his rock-and-roll laurels and went back to school to get his doctorate. I understand he's a very well regarded astronomer now, so it's good to see him involved with something that interests him (and me) and doesn't involve Queen.
