When I read this I laughed “We take very seriously our constitutional duty to thoroughly and carefully vet each nominee sent to the Senate for confirmation,”. They have no idea what their duties are regardless of party. Its all one big Cluster "F" of avoiding responsibility and passing on the blame.

He's been the President's doctor since President Obama (2010?). Why are these only coming up now?

Seems like a political stunt more than anything.

Question, how could he be the Dr for the most important patient in the US POTUS....how could he have done all these things under three Presidents. Where was the Secret Service...you are saying that the USSS continued to allow the President get treated by a drunk? I hope everyone on the WH USSS detail is fired before 1630 today. OR I hope the jerks who are saying there are potential problems, making claims with no info....I hope they get thrown in Jail by 1630 or a real good time in a pugel stick pit.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint - Likely the claims are dating back to his time prior to working at Walter Reed. The issue there of course is the time frame. Why were they silent so long?

Often someone behind the scenes that wants the job - smear campaign and you're next at bat. With all the bad press for VA and desire to privatize I don't know why anyone would want the job. Unless they have an axe to grind and want to dismantle it.
