Deadly earthquakes are made worse by inept government.

Somehow willing to bet that private projects have to meet higher building standards than public ones do in this part of the world.

I am going to bet that the Revolutionary Guards Corps were responsible for the public buildings that collapsed. Nevertheless, the Iranians said the same things after the last Earthquake and did largely nothing.....it was a public placebo then as it is now. They could care less what buildings collapse and what buildings stay standing as long as their own hydes remain intact.
