I have no idea how my immunosuppressed child has not gotten sick once yet this season. I'm definitely ok with it - but she hasn't even gotten a cold and she goes to daycare and school. I thought about it - she's been sick less in the 5 years post transplant than she was pre transplant. She was immunocompromised pre transplant - basically due to her shitty kidneys. Post transplant she got hospitalized once 2 years post because she had a fever and they did cultures. She's had nothing more than a cold or a stomach bug in 5 years. Sometimes those take her longer to get over but idk. It just kind of boggles my mind how she's avoided all this stuff and covid.

Thankful to hear your child is thriving. Sometimes, it's just the 'luck of the draw'
