On May 10, 1941, prominent Nazi politician Rudolf Hess landed on a farm near Eaglesham in Glasgow, after flying nearly 1,000 miles from Bavaria in a Messerschmitt Bf 110.

Hess was certainly a unique case! His prison for decades held him alone as a prisoner and he was the longest living Nazi, only expiring well into his 90's.
