What would you do if you are ever involved in an active shooter situation? Sadly, I was on JBSA-Lackland when an active shooter shot and killed the 342 TRS commander. That was nerve wracking to say the least while attending NCO Academy. The school was prepared with their training provided by the base SFS. We were locked down for 2+ hours with 15 people in the instructor's office. Please consider watching the video above so you can know what to do and how to act when/if an active shooter strikes. I pray one does not though!

ill hope to think, ill pull my weapon and protect, the defend those that are in danger, whats sad those of us that have ccw, and weapons are not able to carry on base, that needs to change. the whole idea that we cant protect just because we come on base, its crazy

This is mandantory training for the army. It's sad we've had to use it.

We had no time to evacuate as the location of the shooter was unknown. Next option was to hide. We barricaded the door to the hallway (each flight did the same thing) and then we were in the instructor's office. Trying to get a hold of loved ones and co-workers back at home home duty station was delayed.
