Is History repeating? Many say that the Third Reich and Nazi Germany were a result of the sanctions and treatment of Germany following the first World War. It would appear that Russia is feeling the same. Could we see a retaliation from Russia similar to the Third Reich?

LTC (Join to see) Smoke and mirrors once again. Posturing and bullying. They will run out of money again- that was our strategy to wait them out last time. Will that work twice?

LTC (Join to see) - I always stay rooted in the media reporting worst case scenario. Peace does not sell ad space- threat, innuendo, and scandal are where the dollars are hidden. That is not to say they won't make a move at some point, but I don't think either nation could afford the cost in stature and dollars at this time.

The Russians still have a couple of issue 1) warm water ports, which leads to 2) no viable blue water navy & merchant marine 3) power... few hydro sources, coal is far away, nuke was a disaster.
So Rusdia is still an essentially land-locked power... now, their rapprochement with Iran & Vietnam may change the equation
