I am not surprised Russia is ramping up attacks on Syria as lame-duck President Obama is nearing the end of his Presidency SP5 Mark Kuzinski. This reminds me of how Iran thumbed its nose at POTUS Jimmy Carter after Ronald Reagan was elected only to release the Iranian hostages the day he was inaugerated. On "Jan. 20, 1981, Iran released 52 Americans who had been held hostage for 444 days, minutes after the presidency had passed from Jimmy Carter to Ronald Reagan. The hostages were placed on a plane in Tehran as Reagan delivered his inaugural address."
Expect more respect from Russia once Donald Trump is sworn in on January 20, 2017.

The turnover of the executive branch of our nation emboldens other powers.

Putin has to get his licks in while Obama is still in power and is frozen by indecision.

The Syria situation is so fractured, confused, and filled with atrocities that it is hard to know which side or any should be backed with military force. I hate to see people starving, being unable to feed their own families, and various groups using food as a weapon.
