Russia military build-up near Ukraine 'larger than in 2014', says US

The US has said that Russia's military build-up near Ukraine is larger than in 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea.

Since mid-March, there have been many warnings from Ukraine and Western governments that Russia is massing troops in Russian-annexed Crimea and around the eastern Ukraine conflict zone.

However, Russia has played down accusations of a military build-up near Ukraine's border.
