Russian Company Claims Its Device Can Automatically Detect Snipers

I'm not a sniper nor do I claim to know what they know, but this machine confuses me. I think snipers are back in a room so most of the time they are limited on what they see. Wouldn't this device have to be have to been lined up just right to see back into the hiding spot? How does it work?
