This makes sense because the next War may be fought in the Arctic. China is trying to lay claim to the South China Sea for oil wealth and power and Russians may do the same. The snowmobiles reflect that mindset

Sometimes James Bond movies and reality cross each other. In Goldfinger, the North Koreans are the ones that give a nuclear bomb to Goldfinger to Nuke all the gold at Fort Knox.
