Excellent choice. Canada is best known for being non-interventionist, they don't need a worldwide deployable, ground attack fighter. What they need, is an inexpensive to maintain and operate point intercept fighter. The Saab JAS 39 Grippen (Griffin) fits the role nicely. It's capable of operating from remote airfields with little ground support.
