Sailors Lost at Sea for 5 Months Had EPIRB On Board -Coast Guard – gCaptain

So much stink on this story. EPIRBs operate by satellite, and thus, worldwide, anywhere. They 'honestly thought they were going to die within 24 hours' and didn't activate their EPIRB? I call bullshit. This is a stunt for clicks and dollars. They should be prosecuted, or at least have to repay their rescue costs.
