Yeah. Satanic Verses is not the easiest read. I'll admit I had to put it down and come back to it a couple times. I'm pretty sure whoever issued the fatwah just got sick of trying to read it. My personal feeling is Rushdie tries to hard to intellectual and be the British Indian Umberto Eco. I'll check it out on Blinkist first.
