I totally agree with you. Owning a firearm is an American right and we do need to defend ourselves at times. There's a lot of people out there that don't care about anyone and they will do whatever they want. No one should tell us how to defend ourselves

My view is different.
The primary use of a firearm is to kill.
More people die from murder than from terrorist actions.
The terrorist just has to sit back, relax and watch everyone else kill everybody else.
Guns themselves do not kill people, people with guns kill people.
Let's clean up our culture and have the attributes that our forefathers had, RESPECT. Where are our key values when we have to carry a gun?
Morality, social acceptance of non-social behaviour has led to the downfall of western society.
Just my thought.

Brother, that kind of change may take decades to accomplish. Maybe even longer. Our whole society will have to change and we all know how pig headed our fellow American can be. It's sad that we won't see this in our lifetime.
