Sarah was ahead of her time, but her perseverance brought about change for the Lovell Mill Workers in MA. She campaigned for ten hour days and introduced the four day work week concept with the fifth day compensated by the two hours of overtime worked in the first four days. This allowed women an extended weekend to cater to their families. Today is Sarah's birth anniversary and we should give honors to this Women's Rights Advocate.

Good share. We don't always recognize those who have helped establis/expand the rights of women, minorities and workers in general.

Class, gender and creed are biased ways of grading humans and we were taught that law prohibits such prejudice. I realized that we are celebrating male achievements, so I added the better part to the subject Ma'am and, I am glad you approve. Thanks Lt Col Charlie Brown .
