Kids aren't taught common sense items that we were taught, we need to return to that form of education.

I did a trend-analysis for a school district back in the '80's ... this has been going on since at least the late '60's ... i believe the SAT scores have been "re-normed" 3 times in that period. The pre-dates No Child by a couple of decades.
