SCA is now a Veteran's Choice Registered Provider

We are happy to report that Southside Community Acupuncture is now a “registered provider” in the Veteran’s Choice program in the Richmond area.

“Veteran's Choice Program (VCP) provides primary care, inpatient and outpatient specialty care, and mental health services for eligible Veterans when the local U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facility cannot provide the services due to: lack of available specialists, long wait times, or extraordinary distance from the Veteran’s home.”

We are a part of a growing network of providers who have volunteered to help fill the gap in the effort to help veterans receive optimal and timely care. While Southside Community Acupuncture (SCA) typically does not accept insurance for payment, joining Veteran’s Choice means that SCA would take a very limited and specific form of Veteran's insurance, which would require a direct referral from Health Net Federal Services. So a patient couldn’t just walk in and say “Hey, I have VCP, let’s do this!” A direct referral is required, so please call Health Net at [login to see] if you are part of this program and are interested.
