Didn't Sheldon Cooper and the guys already look for these at the Antarctic? Just kidding, the science was way over my head!

LOL...I follow, my wife watches that, it was never to my taste, though I of course appreciate the humor...honest, I just thought it was an interesting article, with an unusual title, I just thought it might interest some, though I'd also thought of that Men in Black scene at the end of the first film with ER playing pool with planet sized balls on a pool table...that imagery also crossed my mind, admittedly, which I actually had four d fairly fun y when I'd seen it originally, many thanks...I just like such scie fe, its a 'me" thing, obviously....

Have to chime in here. First, we've been creating universes in theoretical models for the last 30 years. They're called computer models. Everything at SLAC, LHC hasn't killed us, so we're still ok. Monopole's are only theoretical, and may not be able to exist in our universe, or if they do, would immediately blink out like antimatter.

How do you create a universe that does not have a positive and a negative? We are held to gather by the positive and the negative in the electromagnetic field. So if that doesn't exist no life.

If they did create a monopole, I wouldn't call it creating a universe. Because you have not created a complete independent set of structures rules and laws (of physics). You're just showing that something else could exist.

I follow, honest, I just thought the paper looked of interest, esp the aspect of stochastic tunneling, I hadn't encountered that aspect before, many thanks.
