The Earths oceans contain roughly 264 Billion (with a B) gallons of water - or 3785.5 grams per gallon. Which is to say the oceans contain approximately 999,372,000,000,000 grams. 1 calorie = the energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water through 1 °C (now usually defined as 4.1868 joules). So to raise the temperature of the ocean just one degree will take 4.184 X 10 to the 15th power joules. There are not enough fission weapons on the entire planet to generate that much energy, even assuming we could set them all off at one time and confine the energy to only heating the ocean. While volcanic eruptions generate a lot of energy, there is little creditable evidence to suggest that volcanic eruptions are either significantly more prevalent now than in the past or that they generate anything like the amount of energy required to heat the oceans in any significant way. I suggest you become acquainted with a little known discipline known as physics and that you find a better source for your speculations. Nothing but love though...

What if the media made a deal? What if they were told they would survive if they kept silent? What if those who struck the deal found out that we weren't the first civilization? What if they knew only a few would survive? Would the world governments and the richest among us tell billions of people that not everyone will survive something they can't control risking global hysteria? What if this wasn't just a conspiracy theory?
