Library of Congress has some great pics of Civil War vets. I came across this while searching for colonial maps. Great resource and its searchable.

The Library of Congress is a great treasure find for anyone interested in aspects of history. A few years back I was into writing and recording "Cowboy" poetry. I wanted something else to attract customers, so I found free downloads of very old cowboy music, some dating back to 1911. Most are from the '20's and 30's. They are "in the public domain" so I don't have a copyright problem. I just interspersed the music among my poetry.
So far, I have sold about 1,000 copies of the CD.
