No problem with the story, but the headline is completely wrong. Seas are not rising. When the river levees were constructed arguments were made on its long term effects. Dumping hundreds of miles of sediment into a single point in the Gulf has destroyed the southern Louisiana coast line. I don't see how trend will be reversed without weakening the depth of the lower Mississippi River.
